Hi Johnathan,
There are only 3 of these, well 2 now actually!
We’re trying to move on some stock which has been sat around throughout the winter, once these have been sold through, they will return back to full price!

I bought the item and collected it today!
Koi waterlife protein shower for £140
They retail at £595
Will look brand new once I've been over it with car polish and an electric mop.
Hopefully will solve my ongoing pond foam issues.
The fella selling it was a proper gent and had a nice collection of 70 - 85cm+ single colour koi all grown from tiddlers in his 7500 litre pond. Hopefully I can get him on this forum in the future.

Never heard of a protein shower before? Does it skim off the foam before returning the water to the pond some how?
Edit:
Googled it and answered my own question:
https://www.koi-waterlife-centre.com...rotein-showers
Seems like a great idea. I still don't quite get how it gathers the skimate (protein). It must slow the water down considerably with the weir in order to gather it?
Let us know if its any good RS?Last edited by Alburglar; 23-02-2023 at 01:17 AM.

The top 2 tiers act as a normal shower with media, then the bottom tier has a plate fitted that causes the water to bounce into a central gulley which I assume encourages foam production which is forced through 2 protroding pipes (you can just make out the left one in my photo) that are height adjustable. There are a couple of clips on youtube posted by koi waterlife that show the foam coming out.

After a good once over with the mop and some car polish. Where the sun has got to it the surface coating has been eaten away so a lot of it couldn't be brought up to a deep shine. The back which was obviously shaded came up lovely, but nobody will ever see that!
Turned out to be a brilliant bargain, got it up and running today and it works a treat.

Walking round Tesco with the Mrs in the veg section when I saw these bags with micro mesh for 30p to put your veg in,I thought would be great as a seive return to get rid of fines, like a filter sock.
Should have taken a photo.John

This looks like an absolute bargain from what I can make out.
4 massive (Aquasource Synergy 100?) drum filters for £2000.
Keep one for yourself and easily recover the money spent plus a grand or 2 profit by selling the remaining 3:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/315880238...mis&media=COPY
Don't know if they still sell the Synergy 100 as a standalone, but as a Combi it is listed new at £6550 each!Last edited by RS2OOO; 28-10-2024 at 03:06 PM.

Changing filters
put the new media from the nexus in the pond or filter for a few weeks/months in warmer pond temps...
