    Koi Uk

    Hi all,

Searching the interweb has thrown up Koi Uk at Weston Super Mare.
I have found directions to them but no recent contact details, reviews etc.
Does anyone know if they are still open, what the quality of fish is like etc etc?

    Thanks in advance.

    Trev.

Should have added that I am looking to find 6 or so small ish fish at the right price to grow on over the winter in tank in garage.

i think they closed last year....most of their equipment was sold off. Visit ACM koi at Cullompton...good koi well worth a visit.

    Hi

I have been down to Chris at ACM and seem to spend each time I go!
I am now at a point where my good lady takes my wallet, cards etc off of me, checks my socks for a secret stash and then turns me upside down and gives me a shake before I can go
Chris has some lovely fish down there but had nothing small (4-6") for growing on last time I went. So bought a 14" Kojaku instead

Thanks Nik I will give them a look, I know that it is probably a bit late in the year for some smaller fish but they may have something for me to progress over the winter.

Maurice Cox at Koi Uk closed his farm in 2013.

Great Guy and real loss for the hobby.

I've got a few fish from Maurice swimming around, some Uk bred some Japanese from pre farm days.. They have all stood the test of time..

    Hi Dave,

The pictures I found on the web looked as if there was a good set up there, such a shame some businesses put so much in but fall by the wayside for whatever reason.

You could make the trip to Cuttlebrook Koi Farm in Oxfordshire. A great place to choose some great grow ons!

As Feline has said Cuttlebrook is well worth a visit , make sure you phone him first to make sure it is convenient, Mark is a great bloke and if he has got the time he will show you around his set up , he has fish of all sizes and varieties
