Hi ,

they are as hard as nail starlets all they need is good water the right food all year round and no blanket weed, they are easy to look after.
just be careful if you treat the pond as they can die

I love sturgeon / sterlets :) .

Will the tail grow back ?

It will depend on when the damage has taken place .

One thing i never considered about sturgeon until i read it on pond life forum (the sturgeon experts ) is that unlike koi they are not culled with minor deformities like koi fry would be , hence sturgeon with curled gill plates and other slight deformities are often seen for sale especially on flea bay .

Its just a pure guess if its a deformity no it wont , but as the guys have said other wise i know no reason why it wont if its only minor damage from an other wise perfect sterlet ?
