Like I said before Dusty tie the mussel with some garden wire or string and dangle it just below the surface and they all come up great to watch close up.

they would definitely beable to eat quicker if i chopped it up , must admit i like the final feed of the day ,being able to watch them feed for an hour ish , trying to make my selection , but i do not know how you all pick out the what is classed as show koi , freeze dried blood worm they also love , i glad yours are on the mend mate , i am slowly lowering the numbers in my tanks , water perfect , about 350 gone so far , , once i have gone down to a dozen in each tank i will post the pics of the ones i am growing on

Besides the ones that died I have only got rid of the deformed ones so will keep the rest and watch them develop.
Some are punny so may not make it so will let nature take its course.John

ive started on dried blood worm , they take lots and i grind some up to float round to the not hemmed in lettuce plants and get afeed within five minutes , they not looking so skinny since starting the dried blood worm ,twice a day

Bought a kilo of FROZEN bloodworm.
And it arrived next day, still frozen, from CHINA!

sorry for late reply mate , have tried the frozen blood worm , but have had best results from the freeze dried on ebay , and i got 1500ml for 13 squid , bargain , i think it weighs about 150 g , its easy to crumble for the littler ones but beware they come back for more straight away lol

Running heater at low temp?
Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
