Got 18 ft * 12 ft *3-4 ft deep pond running on Cetus seive and nexus 310 seperate , running from 6*4*2 ft twin chamber which is gravity fed from 2 bottom drains, I'm in process of building my own drum filter , probably twin drum but don't know wether to have one side feed a moving bed and the outher side to feed a bakki shower or bakki river, then a axoic filter is that right? The one with the plants and cat litter in pots but want to run that part seperate on it's own, also I would like air lift returns from all filters, oh also I'm looking to fibreglass the pond and make it deeper

Yes was good chatting Gary it do good to talk to people who have similar ideas and goals towards constantly improving all aspects of koi keeping, sometimes I feel a bit mental when ideas make Sence to me but others just look like your talking a alien language lol

Just to try and get my head around your setup.
Is this the sort of thing you had in mind?

I put the anoxic on its own circuit as I gather they are supposed to work best that way rather than after a bio filter or is it supposed to be in pond 2??. Mind you my anoxic sits after my bio.

How far have you got with your drum filter build?

    6000g in ground koi pond
    +3000g lily/Anoxic pond attached
    29 koi (40 to 65cm)
Bottom drain, Mid water & Skimmer to Drum
JBR boichamber->Blue eco 500 pump ->below surface return.
Blue Eco 240 -> Large MB -> Waterfall -> Planted Anoxic pond (25 baskets)

Yes that's pretty much what I'm aiming for, but the Partition wall which was waterfall is going when I fibreglass the pond and make it deeper and obviously run new bottom drains , as for filter box, I have the box made and been waiting on last few bits I have orderd , everything should be here by Wednesday/ Thursday , needs to be complete asap as my nexus 310 isn't rotating k1 evenly I'm guessing the pipe has fractured ,

That's very impressive! Are you making the drum mechanism from scratch?

Given you are redoing the BDs how about this?

Yes that's exactly what I had in my head, that's weird lol I mean exactly , and yes I'm doing it from scratch, had stainless steel cut for drum carcass but think it's too heavy so got some polypropylene strips for strength but quite easy to work with but pretty rigid will use stainless rings for basic shape but it's going to be suck it and see as never built one before I can rebuild a car engine but this drum makes me a bit nervous lol

The only issue having the anoxic filter next to the she'd is that spot is sun starved as I have a pagoda with polycarbonate roof on it the outher end of the pond would get sun all day which would help with Lilly growth maybe a large sump next to the she'd for airlift returns to the pond?

How about pump feeding the anoxic then - and use the sump as your bio filter. Something like this:-
    SRsetup3.JPG
    6000g in ground koi pond
    +3000g lily/Anoxic pond attached
    29 koi (40 to 65cm)
Bottom drain, Mid water & Skimmer to Drum
JBR boichamber->Blue eco 500 pump ->below surface return.
Blue Eco 240 -> Large MB -> Waterfall -> Planted Anoxic pond (25 baskets)
