When I had my nexus 300 I didn't use the outer ring at all same as Rs,just used 8 air stones dropped to the bottom 100% better and a lot quieter.

That is when the work starts mate.
Keeping the water right for the fish.
New pond syndrome and all that.
Add the fish slowly over the weeks.
Took my pond and filters 2 years to mature. Keep a good eye on your ammonia. Nitrite. Naitrate. PH. KH.
Plus out the tap. As well as the pond tests .
Feed sparsly to start with. Plus 10% water changes weekly.
Looks good mate. Enjoy the fish mate once there in there.

Agree with Fred, check your water supply for kh to see where you stand as you are in Wales like myself.
I am in N Wales and my kh is 0 so use sodium bicarbonate to up it,if your kh is down it will drag your ph down and could cause a ph crash.
Eifion on here is in W Wales and 0 kh on supply and had a ph crash and lost fish,so my advice check kh on supply before getting any fish.John

Morning john. Agree 100%. Mine is the opposite very high.
Thats the bit most forget to do. The taps test first.
Me included.
When i now do water changes i test my taps first. As you never know when the water board are going to add stuff. And you get a change.
And you don t want to self inflict anything. In the water parameters.

That looks absolutely fantastic Binary, the view, wall and everything round the pond spot on.
Take my hat off to you mate it is one of the best builds I have seen for a long time.
I am not normally a fan of formal ponds but yours blends in so well that it softens and looks so relaxing you just want to be there, will bring my own wine
Fantastic job and well done you have to be proud mate after all the hard work.
Did you do it all yourself?John

thanks for the fab comments.. i am proud.. its been a labour of love... taken over a year as i have done everything myself bar the electrics... the kids and dogs have been seriously neglected so its time to spend with them now... its only a small pond.. and im sure i am going to make mistakes.. however i do love just sitting, listening to the water and watching the koi..
thanks everyone for your help along the way..some valuable advise from plenty of you guys on here has helped me massively.
happy ponding..
im sure i will be posting for advice soon..

Ryan, can you please keep an eye on your KH as your supply maybe low.
As you are in S Wales, Eifion on here is as well and he has low kh and needs sod bio to keep it up.
Eifion had a ph crash and lost his fish so please keep an eye on it,check your supply water and then you will know where you stand,we are here if you need any questions answering.John
