    Hello To One And All

    Hi there,
having posted a few questions regarding fish issues and microscope suggestions, i thought i should introduce myself and my pond. The pond was bought as part of the house and was fill of Goldfish that had been in there for over 15 years. The filter was a small pressurised type that was not maintained or suitable for the size of pond but the gold fish thrived... I have always kept Marine Tanks but due to the move i had to sell my setup due to costs etc. This pond is a nice alternative and i enjoy learning day to day the keeping of water quality, the fish being an addon.

    Pond is approx 10,000 Litres
2 filters - Oase and RTF 5500 with UV
    Air pump
Surface skimmer connected to the Oase filter

Hope you like the pics and please feel free to advise as you wish, i am pretty thick skinned

This is the pond from the start. About 10 years worth of silt and sludge being cleaned out. Removed around 100 goldfish and upgraded the filtration system.

Fresh water and first suitable filter with low stock.

Pond as from this morning. Both filters running

Welcome to you both. Brings back memories from redoing ours. The silt stinks doesn't it? On the plus side them fishes colours are very vibrant. Nice pond too. Hello To One And All

    Hi Roy,

thank you. We love the pond and its inhabitants but having a bit of a rough time with it lately. A few deaths and still researching the issue by carrying out scrapes and trying to identify what infestations there are lol...

Yer, we have had the same problem, all was good in the old pond, now we have moved the fish to a holding pond and fitted a drum filter with all new pumps lots more bio, they are kicking up a fuss and my largest fish died, there is no pleasing some fish, we found Fluke the other day so we are just treating for that and hopefully all will be good again

I wish I could say yes, but we are going for all new valves and they have to be matching lol, I'm a little OCD

I've just bought two new pumps 18,000 Jebao, wished I hadn't now I think I may have to upgrade to variable.

Unfortunately no use to me, but thanks for the offer
