I was told earlier today that I should be aiming for 9 mgl !!!
Just turned up my air pump a bit more and now the pond resembles a jacuzzi!!
Will test O2 tomorrow and see if I have managed to get the reading up from 5 mgl

I run my air on the cleaning side of the setup. My setup has bottom drain and tpr. To push water around.
And my air is put up or down to push dust and debris to the sides. And tpr flow brings it around to the skimmer and skimmer sucks it to filter. Gravity fed.
This is why i find this very interesting. Never tested it.
I will have to get me a test kit. Is it a api test kit.

Good work Fred.
Apparently the best way to use the O2 kit is take the sample straight from the pond using the supplied test tube and take it from a part of the pond that you think will have the least amount of oxygen as you need to take what is likely to be the worst area for an O2 reading as the rest of the pond will be higher and hopefully safer if that makes sense?
Hopefully I'm not trying to teach my grandmother to suck eggs lol

No mate. Your not. Good info. I will do 2x tests. One in my top pond and one in lower pond.
Reason top pond. I have nexus with lots of air as well that runs into top pond. Before flowing into bottom pond. Plus my bottom drain air dome. Nice one mate.
Come on england. This is going to be a hard game. Sat waiting for match. and the beers are on ice
Get in there

So gunna follow in the LEGENDs ways and keep all new posts on one thread lol.
. So bottom drain to twist or not to twist that is the question?
And rather than have a 90 from ball valve to filter dose any one use a t and blank it off. Just thinking of taking one angle out if I ever need to get the rods in to unblock?
