    Totally new to this !!!

Hello everyone, after years of waiting for my two boys to get older and many months of research I have decided to take the plunge. My first pond building journey has started.
I have taken advantage of some quality second hand equipment and recently purchased a nexus 220, Evolution Aqua 130 air pump and a Superfish 12000 pump for my skimmer line.
The plan is to build a 14 x 7 x 5 (feet) pond holding just over 3000 gallons, built from rendered blocks and lined with fibreglass. Using a spindrifter bottom drain and 4 " pipe to feed my nexus. Before returning to the pond via a variable control pump, 55w UVC and water heater. I plan to return my skimmer line via a 800mm water blade and a low level bypass for winter time when the blade is not in use. Many thanks for some great reading and info, I will keep you all posted. Pictures to follow the 2.5ton digger arrives this Saturday ...

I have considered a window, but I'm concerned about the fitting as I want to incorporate the existing patio wall into the pond. The existing wall is 0.5m high and going to dig down a meter below the level of the patio

Love the curved wall and it would be great to use it as the pond wall, similar size to mine and it shouldnt take too long with the digger, good luck.
