    Ha ha, quality.

Not sure when I can fit it.

Been waiting for mortar to harden on the filter pit blockwork before re-fitting the gas struts for the lid, which I've added extra bracing and insulation to and it now weighs around 90kg.

Saturday is my Nans 93rd birthday so will be visiting her.

That leaves Sunday, F1 not on, so could be a possibility.

Will be scared going to work on Monday in case something goes wrong lol.

Not worried too much about the drum itself John.

Things like.... Mains supply pipe leaking, it's even off now due to a leak coming from the screw head of one of the isolating valves. Common fault according to internet.

Also not yet sure of the reliability of the Macerator to pump waste over the lawn. If the drum is working overtime could come home to a flooded garden.

And the other concern is noise attracting theives.

Going to make a box out of kingspan to fit over the top of the drum to reduce noise.

The instructions that came with it have foot prints all over them. It wasn't particularly well packaged to be honest and the flywheel gear thing was actually poking out the bottom of the box. Some of the pipe cuts look like they were hacked at with an axe. Everything that's important looks ok.

Should have been better packed then that..hopefully all good though. The Acrylic/polycarbonate wheel is tough so should be ok..The installation is a doddle but right to take extra care with supply..mine runs 8m clipped to bottom of fence insulated with foam...was fine last few winters as has trickle running through.

Agree with Scamp it should have been packed better than that, with the flywheel poking out .
Hope it will be ok for you Rs,dont know anything about the drum insert ones as mine is the stand alone, but I believe they are a piece of cake to fit.
Have you the isolater valve the right way round?
    Never had one leaking.

I know what you mean as you think did I do that right or is that pipe going to blow, then you go and check them all,you will be fine mate.

    Cheers scamp and John.

Its still in the box so I'll take a photo so you can see what I mean. Bits of polystyrene chucked in but not actually doing anything.

My mains pipe run is 21 metres. Was going to insulate it in climaflex with 25mm wall then watched a YouTube video saying it falls apart after 2 years outside so I need to use the black armaflex which is nitrile insulation, a lot more expensive so could only afford 19mm wall.

The pipe join indoors is bang on top of the boiler fused spur so would be sensible to relocate that just in case of a leak. Well, that is where it's leaking lol.

Hope to get up early Sunday and install while she's having a lie in lol.

Another thing John, I used PEX pipe, and put compression fittings on it. No leaks on that at all. Less risk of it freezing, and it comes on 25m reels so doesn't need loads of joins like copper would.

Watched some plumbing videos, very common for old isolator valves to leak from the screw head of they've not been turned in a while. Apparently if you leave them they sometimes seal themselves again after a few hours.

Good idea to take a photo Rs incase of any problems.
I used the plastic pipe and took a T from my outside tap into the garage where the drum is,so it was relatively easy.

I know what you mean in regards to poor packaging, I saw the box mine came in and what was in that box and it was very poor.

Only slight difference was that I went to the supplying dealer and collected mine in person, but I did see its original box/packaging and it did leave a lot to be desired.

Can understand having to be careful with the drum screen as it could easily be damaged, but it should atleast he held in place in the box to stop it slopping about!

This is how the Draco was packaged. Looks worse in real life. None of the polystyrene is actually touching it, it is all loose.

Another thing, that bit of paper saying "Do Not Cut To Remove" in big red letters was just loose in the box so I have no idea what it refers to.

It was delivered by APC overnight service and to be fair they had taken good care of the parcel as other than the gearwheel sticking out the bottom the box was completely undamaged yet I managed to bend it just carrying it through the house.

Pretty poor, I would make it clear you are less impressed to cuttlebrook ( just in case of an issue with the drum) if that’s where it came from. It’s their responsibility as seller to ensure adequate packaging. Hopefully all good though RS!

It wasn't sent by Cuttlebrook, it came directly from the factory by the looks of it. I think most of the Dealers don't actually stock any for sale, they just dropship.

You can't really make out the footprints on the instructions in the pics, but they are definitely there. Look like those sand coloured boot prints.

Looks like someone has opened the box and just thrown the contents back in without packing it properly.

Is your Nexus exposed to the elements or in a pond room?

If its outside take some time to make sure the wiring box is weatherproof, my original one leaked like a sieve,,,,

Nexus is in a filter pit with a bi-fold roof that does leak at the joins, though I'm making a cover/box to go over the Draco out of kingspan.

Also pretty sure I've read about this problem before and found a post somewhere by Tony himself from around April this year saying the supplier has modified the electronics box to prevent water ingress.

I intend to have a good look round it and silicone seal it if required.

I'm not on FB, but found this following a search re: the water ingress to the electrics. Hopefully means mine won't suffer those issues:

Still browsing the Draco fb page.

Found the culprit who walked over my instructions, its the guy on the right.....

And going by this photo he obviously walks on the drums too lol.
