12-07-2019, 01:45 PM #141hi mate so when is it due. and where did you buy it from. I got mine straight from tony. from the factory. and remember gravity feed from bottom drain the waste tray is your water hight. my water hight in the pond is skimmer. so my draco waste tray is lined up with skimmer for my water levels.
unless they have added something new . and altered things since I bought mine lol. that threw me off lol when I installed. I kept it at nexus hight. and had flow problems. then tony explained it to me.
have fun with it RS and keep us updated lol . and make sure you whisper on the phone haha

Not sure when its due, he said it will be manufactured to order and the factory is normally busy earlier in the year but should be within a week at this time of year.
Can't fit it till other prep work is done anyway.
I'm fussy where I buy things from. The reason I chose this place is because;
1) They're an authorised Dealer
2) They have a good write up about it on their website
3) They have a solid reputation on this forum
4) They called me back when they said they would.
5) They agreed to try and negotiate a discount on my behalf
6) They don't charge for delivery.
Cuttlebrook Koi farm.
The questions they answered:
1) Water level.
He said to install so water level is half way up the waste tray.
2) What happens in the event of powercut / water supply failure
He said he believes the Nexus overflow pipe will work in the same way it would if the easy got blocked up. (He wasn't 100% sure but couldn't see why not).
3) Can I use the mains water supply to the Draco as a pond top up.
He said no, run mains to the Draco and T off to purifier for top ups.
He said he has seen one fitted start to finish in a Nexus in 14 minutes which is the current record!
I had a credit card stashed in the garage and sneaked off to pay for it lol.

I will hatch them you can grow them! Sounds like a plan
When on to 3mm its plain sailing, may soon be bottom drain proof! I chucked 4 into the Nisai tank and they have survived... so far, they do have to mind their manners though!
Pics are always great! shar what you are doing as it will help many.

I put mine in the same tank 5ft as the 2 black moors.
Moors chased the life out of them at first (trying to breed, not eat but with the risk of accidentally biting one in half ), All getting along fine now, biggest shock has been the growth the Moors have achieved on the fry food, one is now 16cm inc. tail, not bad for 13 Month old fancies.
Fry growth will never be a real surprise to a breeder like yourself as the tobi's must make everything else seem average.

Yep, should have learned my lesson last month at the B&Q trade counter at closing time.
Bought a few bits and pieces for shelving and looked through the screw section and thought, I ain't paying £8 for 50 screws as I've probably got enough at home.
Went to the counter and the guy said can I interest you in a special offer on some screws? He pointed to some big boxes of 1000 turbodrive screws on the counter and I hesitated as that's way more than I need.
Then he said you're not gonna believe this... £1 a box.
I hesitated again then said go on then I'll take a box.
He said they've all gotta go tonight why don't you take the rest of the boxes (2 more left).
I said, na, 1000 will be plenty cheers.
Got home and the missus looked up the screws online, they are £90 a box!
Should have took all of them and flogged them on eBay!
They are top notch screws, already used over 100.

thats why i said JAPMAT, filter floss is something like 20microns,,japmat will let some fines through but as it gets dirty it traps more and doesnt really affect the flow, ive done this for years in mine, actually have 2 pieces so i can drop clean one in when i take dirty out for washing,,,,andi

Regardless of fines, the Nexus is simply not reliable enough for my set up anymore.
Cleaned Nexus out on Friday night. Fortunately took Monday off work to take kids out then start work on the filter pit. Opened filter pit and the Nexus was empty!
Completely blocked in under 3 days.
Thank God for this morning's delivery.......

I’ve got 6 baskets left to finish. Had to order another 2 bags of cat litter which is arriving tomorrow. Won’t get to complete them until Sunday morning as out Friday night and Saturday.
The in-laws are having Rory for a couple of nights in their campervan so Clare and I are taking full advantage of being sprog free and actually going out to do adult stuff like having a meal out and strolling in a relaxed manner around the cheese and chilli festival in Guildford with maybe a spot of car shopping thrown in. Rory’s most favourite place is Mercedes Benz World but it’s more than stressful when I’m trying to stop him playing (snapping) with the stalks and buttons in a £100k Merc. It’s just too tempting for a kid who loves cars lol. (I’m not buying an expensive Merc by the way, I like button twiddling and tyre kicking too).
And those AMG’s sound immense going round the circuit. It’s a good “free” afternoon out if you’re a petrol head.

Lol, no doubt there will be beer involved as well
Have a couple of mates with C63’s and they’re proper beasts.
I’d love one but I’m not sure I could justify 10mpg even with my man maths skills. I mean, you can’t plod around in something that sounds like a Messerschmitt at full chat eh? What’s the point in that? So, won’t get one lol

1) Water level.
He said to install so water level is half way up the waste tray.
(Fit the legs on the Draco, position them leaving the top three holes
holes empty, top bolt in the fourth hole down and work from there.)
2) What happens in the event of powercut / water supply failure
He said he believes the Nexus overflow pipe will work in the same way it would if the easy got blocked up. (He wasn't 100% sure but couldn't see why not).
(Not if gravity fed, Nexus overflow won’t work in the event of power failure, power failure the drum will eventually block as it can’t clean, but then inner and outer levels would be at the same level so there is nowhere for the overflow to run to.)
