Gaps by side of sieve on Ultra 3

    Hi

Just about to finish my filter pit sieves and beads, but I notice there are gaps down the side of the sieve does this cause an issue ? Should I leave the leaf baskets in the pumps or remove them, I just see them as flow restrictors but if stuff gets down the side of the sieve??

    Andy

Hi mate . If the flow is set right. The water only hits. One part of the sieve. At the top
And centre. About 1 inch from sides.
Here is a photo with front screen in and without
    Hope this helps fred

Thanks for the info I see the split hose would work but looking at the photos do I need to bother ? does the muck just stay in the bottom.

as you can see in the photo s the muck stays on the screen and i wash it with that hose pipe right out the drain valve. to my drains. the hose does not put it through the screen either.
as andi says put some hose on the sides to make it more water tight. if your pump is more powerfull it may spray or run further to the sides. but in my case it stays centre
