    Angry Uv connection

    Good evening guys
    I just got a hole in my flexible pipe from the pump to the UV and now can’t get the hosetails to stop leaking when I tighting the jubilee clip it just deforms the hosetial
    any ideas thanks.

    I was recommended this stuff today just not sure it was definitely this version of it as I did quick google search and this is what came up -

    Just need to double check it is fish safe as I may have got the wrong version here?

    I think I may still have the tube of the stuff I used in the garage so will double check it for you tomorrow to make sure it's the same stuff I put the link up for OK.

    If its been on there a while the pipe seems to go quite rigid, if you warm it up with some boiling water or something and then tighten it up it will probably clamp down and seal again.
    May be worth a try

    Thanks Sim I tried that trick got new flexible pipe but it’s the plastic tail that’s deformed got go get something in the morning might even have to go solvent weld way

    Nice tip Sim tried similar to allow a silicon hose to fit over something it wouldn't fit over in very cold weather

    looksthat way I’ll look tomorrow in the mean time found this little lot on that sales site tonight may have a punt at it for £190 can’t go wrong I think

    Yes firm the uv looks massive don’t think I could hang it on the wall looks like it would bring the house down lol

    u tried wrapping loads of ptfe tape around hosetail... then re tightening jubilee clip...

    as a quick fix might work

    Not tried that yet I’ll get new hose tails tomorrow and stick some sealer down and try again if not will go the solvent weld way . Thanks Binary

    Sorry Carlo, just got round to checking to see if that is the same stuff I used but it seems like I must have chucked it out as part of the clear out last year as the stuff was out of date, must have been 5 years ago I bought it
