pump in pond nexus above pond, gravity return. my pump is tripping house rcd so its time to replace it

    option a aquamax eco 8500 £213

You may need to go bigger than a 10000 lph pump as you have to allow for flow rate losses due to restrictions from bends, fittings and head of water etc. You probably need to be looking at a 20000 lph pump that is a variable speed version which you can get for less than the prices of the 3 pumps you have mentioned.

Agree with Frim and I would go a bit bigger due to head loss.
Myself and a few on here use the Jebao from Fish street,a variable pump and a good price and low running costs.
Think mine was about £130 for a 18000 variable, and a great pump, submergeable or dry mounted.
Can get you the link if you like.

I'm different lol I like the Aqua Forte DM Vario pumps. They are a bit more expensive but still not as much as the ones quoted in the first post. Well apart from the one for £100

    https://m.fish-street.com/jebao-dcp-...er-return-pump
    There you go.
You have to be careful on their site, top rgt corner click UK
And UK pounds then UK warehouse.
There is a 20000 for £150 odd plus post which seems to have gone up as I only paid about £5.
I have the dcp 18000 but I believe there is a newer one out somewhere.

Thank you for the speedy reply and link

Another option for a pump is here -

    https://www.hanako-koi.de/

Just need to translate the page before you can read it OK

Very good price on an Aqua Forte DM Vario 20000 if they are still having their sale

Yes they come with a transformer and all connections but I used 2ins rubber boots.
The only thing it came with a 2 pin plug,I fitted my own plug but they sent me a three pin plug and new lead later in the post, must have run out.

167.60 euros which this morning is about £145.00 for a 20000 lph Aqua Forte DM vario

Not sure what the P&P is though.

The other reason for going bigger pump wise is if it's a variable speed pump you can turn it down to the speed you want and the pump isn't running flat out which may help extend the life of the pump as it's not working so hard where as if you by a pump that is rated to the speed you actually want to run it is running at 100% all day every day.

At under £200 for a 20000 lph variable speed pump I know what I'd go for

Wouldn't consider a fixed speed pump now unless it was for a specific purpose that may not require it to be running all the time if that makes sense?

Makes to consider - Superfish, Jebao? Aquaforte, Pond Expert

No prizes for the one I'd go for but then I like being different

Good price Frim, with p+p would be about £160.

I would only buy a variable now, though I have two 18yr old sequence pumps which refuse to break.
