Ideal temperature in heated pond
I’ve just installed a 4.5k watt heater in my pond and just wanted to know what would be the ideal temperature that I should keep over winter.
thank you

depends on your budget, personally i wouldn't let mine go below 14 c if money was no object, and actually its been so mild lately that im now at 15c. If it was really cold i would have let it drop lower.
I let it drop to about 11 -12c for a while in December and January and they were looking ok to be fair, but they're obviously happier and more active now, and eating well.

Okay I’ll set the thermostat at 14c and see how it goes as you mentioned it’s been very mild lately without heater my pond was around 9c today .
as for cost I’ll have to wait for the electric bill to arrive in April
