I have the older models (dcp/dcs/dct). Other than the plastic casing looking somewhat cheaper vs more expensive competition, they actually work fine.

With them being variable flow, just get the highest rated one and dial down the pump to the actual flow you need. The amount you’ll save on electricity consumption should pay for the difference in pump price in a matter of months.

Thanks . yeah I was looking at the 20000 my pond is only around 7500 /8000 with a 12000 multibay . Didn't seem much extra for the bigger one and as you say run it at 50%

There's a few threads about these new pumps and one in particular where it faired much better than the more expensive Superfish equivalent.

I have a 20,000 TSP myself having bought it a couple of Months ago but not used it yet.

Bought mine from here, free shipping and delivered 48 hours later :

I'm also looking at these probably at the end of the month, a 20000 to pull the 2 BD's and a 15000 for the skimmer line. Like Socrchio I also run the jebao pumps on my marine tanks and they have been great.

Jebao is actually huge pumps manufacturer producing under contract for many other brands like AquaForte, Aquea King and many others - so you cannot go wrong....

I've been using the pondxpert 30000 now for the past 2 years, running 24/7 which is very similar. I tend to run mine at around 78% 250w. There is a hum when powering up from 85 to 100% max 398w
The only thing is there is no flow chart for the pumps. So you have to either estimate or do a flow check on it to gauge flow to power to watts used. As the display shows how many watts your using per percentage of flow

Jebao pump in the original link is in fact identical to AquaForte DM Vario line up - just different color of the plastics used - so you can use flow charts of AquaForte see it here:
