    upgrade to a drum ?

At mo i am using 3x 3 bay filters with mainly jap mat and static k1 each with 10,000 lph pump returns .i would like to go over to drum and k1 .Your views would be appreciated on what bits can be utilised in doing this ,i am thinking of keeping one vortex and filling with around 400 litres of k1,one problem is the skimmer is at the other end i could maybe run a 3 or 4inch pipe to the drum the length of the pond ......any alternate ideas greatly appreciated ....philpond.jpg

Probably the cheapest option, keep all your existing gear, negotiate some substantial discount for 2 drums and bingo lol.
    Alternatively..I dunno lol

    Hi Phil
My bottom drain run to the drum is 13 meters, and my skimmer is 17 meters, all works OK, get a good pull through the skimmer

My skimmer runs from the far end of the pond, probably 7mtrs or so into the drum with the 2 bottom drains.
Jbr skimmer with 3" pressure pipe to the drum.
    Clears the surface fine.

The skimmer pulls really well with the 3", I am thinking about a T off this to go straight into the bakki pump to increase flow and allow an underwater return to be used at the same time.
At the moment with both pumps they can drain the filters.
