PP is pretty easy to get and cheep - you may use it if you add new plastic media to speed up maturation as well.
6000g in ground koi pond
+3000g lily/Anoxic pond attached
29 koi (40 to 65cm)
Bottom drain, Mid water & Skimmer to Drum
JBR boichamber->Blue eco 500 pump ->below surface return.
Blue Eco 240 -> Large MB -> Waterfall -> Planted Anoxic pond (25 baskets)

Can't remember the correct dosage off hand but it's pretty potent stuff you won't need that much - I just put a tea spoon ful in a big bucket of water for treating new K1.

As pip said a T spoonfull for the plants and you could use more for the barrel, did my plants last year when i got them soaked over night and rinsed well and they were fine, try to fully submerge them.

No probs Carlo, may be best to cut them back as they wont do much till next year, its a good idea to just plant in pea gravel as i dont like soil in the pond, and put a few heavyish rocks round them as koi will shred them to bits.

mine are in gravel as well. but in big gravel they have done brilliant that way this year. i agree with john. no soil. they get all the neut-rants out the water of the pond. in my case upper pond

will try the pea gravel the old ones I have are in mud but alaways find filler a bit gritty I suppose that’s the koi digging in them so will change them too .will trim them all back got four to repot.
