Sealing a bakki shower
Hi
i have been running my 4 tier bakki shower the last few weeks and works fine
but I have a wier at the bottom with a 4 inch outlet, I’m sure I should have sealed this with sealant
As when I crack the pump up it starts to flood
ive got the pump running at 200lpm
this is me guessing, it’s a forte vari 30k running at 65% with 2 m head and run of 2 m
does anyone know the correct flow through the bakki

Is it a Bakki or is it another brand of shower?
Have you got a weir tray or a spigot tray at the bottom?
Where is it flooding out from?2016 new 6000 gallon pond

Hi it’s a stainless steel bakki form absolute koi
it leaks from the top of wier tray and where the last tray drops in
i can’t see how you would seal it neatly as it’s a fairly tight fit

Sealing a bakki shower
You shouldn’t need to seal it? I’ve got the Spigot tray on the bottom, are you sure all the feet on each tray are ‘sitting’ correctly, etc.:

Hi Rob
it it looks identical, do you have a lid on yours and do you know what flow rate you have
I wondering if I’m trying to pump to much though it

A pain to adjust, but could it be you have over/under tightened the nuts that attach the spigot tray to the shower tray?
The only reason I say that is when I dismantled mine to cover the pond, I noticed when re-fitting, the stainless side of the tray ‘bow’ slightly when tightened - bit of a long shot but could just be the nuts/fitting?
(It doesn’t look wet/leaky from the pic, if it’s running...)
Yes I have the lid & I’m running via a variable Aquaforte DM, at the moment, about 15K over mine - they should handle that and some.
Could it be ‘blow back’ from your spray bar (no lid) leaking out?

Running heater at low temp?
Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
