At last, clear water
If anyone is doubting the wisdom of a drum filter, have a look here. After many years & considerable expense going through box filters, pressure filters,an Ezypod & a Nexus 220,i`ve finally arrived at a drum filter,an Oase Profidrum, expensive but does the job, crystal clear water at last.

Yes I know exactly what you mean, built my 5000 gallon Koi pool over 25 years ago and like you I've had various filtration systems during that time.
All kept my koi healthy and reasonable clarity but never really as I would like.
So after a visit to Queni Koi I went for one of their drum filters,it's been running for a week tommorow and your right I can't believe the clarity. (It just gets better every day)

Lovely looking pond there matsuba. Can I ask if you had any issues or have any recommendations with regards to your skimmer? I have 1 going on my pond.

It`s an Oase Aquaskim 40,it runs off the second inlet of my eco premium 12.000 lph pump.the only issue i`ve had is when the basket isn`t emptied for a while,it tends to float off from the flower pot it sits on,that`s why its got a rope around it so that ican lift it back into position!.It really keeps the surface like a mirror.
