Drum, Bio, Bakkie Shower and Pump setup

I am trying to sort out my filter setup, the pond will be 5500 gallons, semi raised

The equipment I have already is:
    - KLK Filtreau 30 Hi flow Drum filter (30,000 lh max) 2 x 4" inlets 2 x 4" outlets (3" to be cut in)
    - UV for drum filter (to be ordered)
    - JBR Plastics bio filter with 50 litres of K1 (700mm x 700mm x 600mm)
    - JBR Plastics aerated bottom drains x2,
    - JBR Plastics skimmer 3" outlet (to be ordered)
    - Jebao pond pumps 18,000 lh x 2
    - EA 130 air pump
    - EA 70 air pump
    - EA 55 UV external (considering)
    - Bakkie shower (to be ordered)
    - 10,000 BTU heat exchanger from house boiler (Freezing protection)

I will be installing an overflow, trickle fill, auto pump shut off with low water level, auto backup for low air pressure

The pond is approximately 5 meters from the filter room, so pipe runs and sizes will be quite important

I am looking at how to connect the equipment together, leaving options for diverting on pump failure, possibly upgrading pump to Flow-friend variable

Any thoughts on connections and positions of returns etc

looks good but you will need more bio filtration, 50 litres of k1 will do very little.
Jbr will make you any size bio chamber for very good prices , I had one built by them that will hold 600 - 700 litres of k1, it was under 700 quid delivered.
They also do nice plastic showers, I have one from them, mines a metre wide and about the same height, it holds about 4 bags of grog, cost me about 400 all in, including the media, they sell them on ebay, massively cheaper than a genuine bakki, and does exactly the same job.

Have a chat with A1 Fabrication also, as a comparison with JBR:

My pond is about 5500 gallons and it will also have a 1 meter Bakki shower on it so the bio and Bakki will be splitting the load, so 2250 gallons through each, how much K1 will i need for a moderately stocked koi pond

Add slowly. Let it settle and add a little more once tumbling
