This does look like it will fit, but no dimensions have been provided so im not sure im willing to take the risk, especially if the EA replacement kit can be bought for £36

One more point, you mention drilling the top and inserting it this way however the easy pod complete looks to me like it comes in at the bottom, is there a reason you have chosen to modify the top?

Forget my last question, just found some better pictures and it does slot in from the top like you said.

The place where I got mine from was EA themselves and their parts were quite cheap considering their normal prices LOL

Just looked at the EA site and nearly had a heart attack they have put their prices up and yes you are right the UVC is now £69.95

I'll see if I can find the spare one I bought from someone else as that was cheaper than the original EA one I think?

I got the replacement one from Ebay -

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pond-Aqua...72.m2749.l2649

They are currently out of the 18 watt ones which are now £42.99 I think. You could try searching for that UVC and see if you can find it any cheaper elsewhere online?

Looking at the image of the UVC you may have to do a combination of the two options I thought of as the body of the fitting doesn't look big enough to be able to screw through once you have cut it down so would need to be glued or clamped into position via the plate made from 4" pressure pipe?

Frim did you ever find a way of Retro fitting the UV into the top of the easy pod ??, I bought the unit and only really had a good look at it today and I thought somin was missing, phoned planet pond where I bought it from and apparently you are not able to retro fit it, incredible really, fair play to Planet Ponds they said they'll give me a refund, but it would really suit me to fit it, I'm lacking room to fit an inline UV

I never got round to fitting it Tom

I couldn't find anyway of properly attaching the UVC assembly into the top of the Eazy Pod.

Bugger, I've emailed EA, but I doubt they'll give it much thought, not sure they'll be of much help from what I've heard about them.

The ones with the UV from new are only available for pump fed not gravity fed also.

Nightmare just got worse at least i can send it back, was wondering how the UV would work, because the whole of the UV body wouldn't be fully immersed in the water.
Got K1 mirco in mine as well and some found itself stuck in the pump impeller, so was thinking of replacing with K1 instead, the centre stainless steel tube had dropped allowing the stuff to get into the water going back to pond, impeller was stuck fast.

The problem with EA is they use threads that only they can get so nothing else fits and that's where I got to with trying to retro fit the UVC. The kit they sell is just the basic stuff so you can replace a broken one and doesn't come with the mounting bracket for the top of the Eazy Pod. When I bought mine it was missing the quartz sleeve and after numerous emails with photos and explanations they finally excepted it was missing. So be prepared for a long battle Tom.

Planet Pond said they'll take it back and refund me, so I'm sending it back, plus I'm gravity fed so it won't work anyway.
I've bought another UV to fit inline now and its another from EA

I think Fred has fitted some 2" hose tails to his EA UVC as I think the 30 watt versions and above have similar fittings. Fred put a link to where he got the hose tails from but I can't remember the place now.

If he doesn't spot this thread give him a PM Tom
