    If a heron has struck usually (in my experience) you will see scales lying about. Could even be cats, weasel etc but i would tend to say this is caused by a heron

    When actually fitting the pipework iv’e always found it easier not be shy with the glue. If you can twist the fitting to align ... this will help in expelling any trapped air between the fitting....
