RO newbie advice
I'm looking to go down the RO route, but it's a whole new ballgame to know which system to buy.
I have a 2200 gallon pond, and my present three pond purifier is housed remote to the pond and 1/2 hose is run underground to pond to trickle feed.
Looking at systems online it looks as though the 4040 units have a hose size that would be compatible and use my existing three pod as a pre filter.
Any thoughts/advice or recommendations for suppliers etc gratefully received.

RO unit
hi,phone darren at absolute koi,he made mine up and fixed it to a board for me,it has an auto flush, low pressure switch,a good quality booster pump, tds meter in and out of the unit, its a 450gpd unit,i expect that would be best for your size pond!forget a bigger system,or 4040 unit, too much RO water and far too much waste product going down the drain

I've got a 450gpd unit on my 2500 ish gallon pond.
I think it's about the right size (sometimes I think I should have gone bigger but most of the time I think it's right)

Hi Dave
As John has said a 450gpd would be fine for your size pond.
Give Vyair a ring they will give you a good price on a unit.

Thanks for the advice guys, one other quick question;
How do you all mix your mains and RO water?
My water treatment is set up remote to the pond and fed in a constant trickle via an underground 20mm poly pipe, so I will have to mix the two and utilise the current underground feed pipe to pond.
What I am thinking is, to reduce my current treated water supply down to 1/4" adding an in line check/one way valve and a control/flow valve, insert a tee piece and bring my RO water onto the tee piece with a matching one way and flow valve, the outlet from the tee piece would flow to the pond. This way I could (in theory) control the flow of mains or RO to achieve the desired TDS at the outlet.
Comments please or is it a case of try it and see......Lol

Well my new toy arrived today, 450 gpd with auto flush, pump and in & out TDS meter.
I'll hopefully make a start on the installation this week and i'm going to experiment with mixing my mains and RO, as i don't want to take the PH too low.
What PH and GH & KH are you all running at?

pH 7.9
GH 10 mg/l
KH 75 mg/l
At last test.
I'd like pH lower but can't get the KH without it being up there and without the KH my shower doesn't process nitrite very well.
