    Hi Mark

I would fit a manual flow restrictor to control the flow as you can fine tune it
Water Flow Control Valve - £10.99 : Water Filter Systems, Pure Water Products
Its 3/8 but he has reducers down from 3/8 to 1/4
Auto flush kit from the same place.
Reverse Osmosis Auto Flush Kit - £34.49 : Water Filter Systems, Pure Water Products

    Hope that helps?

    Hi Mark

That's what I thought about his website? Those links came off his website tonight!
I would personally use the manual needle valve. All RO units come with the fitted restrictor. I removed one from a friends RO unit last week and fitted the manual one. Much better control and easy to set the pressure to 80-90 psi. As long as you remember that you have to have waste coming out of the RO unit and the combined TDS of the waste coming from the membranes does not exceed 1000ppm you will be fine. 60% pure water to 40% waste is the norm for a RO unit.

    Hi Andy,

Can you let me know which membranes give a 60/40 product to waste ratio? I'm running Dow Corning ones and they are more like 20/80 at best and I'm on a water meter!

I think the ratio of product to waste depends on your source water and water pressure/flow through the membranes, I use the Axeon 150GPD membranes which give me 50/50.
I also use a AO Smith FS-TFC XLE-4040 ultra-low pressure membrane that gives me 75% product 25% waste.
