    Hi John,
yes received drum on Wednesday as promised. Not fitted it yet as going back to Devon next week to see family so have put off install until I get back rather then rush it and muck it up.

Dont blame you Ian no point in rushing it.

I am toying with the Aem and Springbank seem a good place and slightly cheaper than others, watched a few of his videos and he seems a decent bloke, was the postage free Ian?

Looked on American forums and they dont seem to have any problems with the Aem was just unsure with a few on here with problems.

Let us know how you install and your bio works, was thinking of making my own bio as have a nexus 300 which i would sell.

Yes all postage free, and as I had to wait nearly four weeks for it but not Springbank Koi's fault, it was a pallet of drums went missing so AEM had to send another.
Clayton even put a few extra bits in box for me being so patient, he is a very decent guy, said if I need any advice to phone him, I intend keeping my nexus 300 but taking off the cetus sieve.

I've run mine through my 300 but did a swept T bend before the 300 so I could max the flow through the drum.

4" out feed from drum I have used 4" rubber 90 joined to 4"waste pipe into anther 4" rubber 90 to go under the drum, this then goes into 4" waste pipe then using 4"rubber t Splits the water one way 10,000 pump and water blade return, the other way goes to N300 with 15,000 pump after it that is restricted with a ball valve. Pipe work after pumps is 2".
Sorry not good light for pictures AEM Easy Drum Review

I too have kept my Nexus 220 after installing AEM Easy drum - plus added anoxic unplanted filter to my filter setup to maximize biofiltration capacity of my setup - splitting the outflow from RDF between anoxic filter and Nexus via T- piece of 110mm waste pipe - while comtrolling the split of the water flow with Valterra valve at entry to the anoxic filter - see picture - albeit old one as by now I have plumbed properly the RDF washing water into pressure pipe rather the garden hose shown - the RDF water outlet remains the same - split of flow between anoxic filter and Nexus:

Nexus in this setup works very well as nice polisher capturing all fines which passed via RDF's 70 microns SST mesh in it. In my pumped setup there is one more benefit of keeping the Nexus in operation - there is upflow chamber around the exit pipe which serves as a nice settlement tank - need to clean it up time to time - say every three months or so. So if your Nexus is with Eazy mechanical filter in it I would suggest to definitely keep it - if w/o Eazy - than upgrade it to Eazy - and you will get very good water polisher on top of it's biofiltration capacity.

Hi John, yes finally switched it on yesterday still got to play around with the sensor in it to get it at right level.
At moment its either cleaning every 30 seconds or if i move sensor it does not seem to clean at all.

    Ian,
check the sensor isn’t touching the side of the drum. That maybe (maybe) the reason it doesn’t clean at all sometimes.
