glad they have now started to be a lot more reasonable. the sensor in mine is on a slide bracket so i guess you will get the same set up so would be easy for you to convert to gravity in future if you ever wanted to which is quite good.
will be interesting to see how your other lid does and to see if this is an issue that i may come across.

Still no response from the dealer which is really bad.
I have now connected both of my water pumps to the drum controller so that if the same thing happens again they will be turned off rather than flooding the filter shed.
The sliding bracket is already in position for a gravity fed conversion if required, I think they're sending me a second one to mount on the inlet side of the drum.
I noticed today that immediately after the drum cleans itself the water level is a fair bit below the float switch so it should be possible to drop the switch a fair bit which will reduce the water level in the drum between cleans. I did notice that my drum seems to clean fairly infrequently so this might just solve the issue. Fingers crossed.

Defiantly sounds like that is the issue and may be why the dealer is staying quiet as AEM said the dealer would have fitted the float sensor so they may have got a telling of from AEM.
At least AEM are now complying and getting the issues sorted. Have they said at what height you now need to install the float ?

I'm sure I will. The parts arrived yesterday but I won't be able to fit them until Wednesday as I'm going into hospital for a small procedure on Tuesday. I did notice that the float switches were either fitted or had worked their way off the vertical which wouldn't be helping. I straightened them up and it seems to be working better.

ap,
Darn I was hoping to hear good things about a drum at this price. Is your drum actually fitted below water level outside of the pond? In my head I was thinking that the top of the drum would be an inch or so above pond level so that if anything stops due to lack of electricity or a blockage then the drum does not overflow.

My drum is pump fed and fitted well above the pond level. What I hadn't done was connect my water pumps to the drum controller so that they switched off when there was a problem with the water level.
I received parts from the manufacturer and fitted them today so hopefully my problems will be over.
When it's running properly I'm very happy with the performance of the drum, there's nothing else out there for that price at the moment but I'm sure that will change in the next couple of years

It's running OK at the moment but the manufacturer is sending me other parts to fit which should ensure that I have no more problems. The upside is that I've learned a lot about exactly how the drum operates. Looking forward to the coming season to see how the drum copes with algae growth and higher feed rates. Once it all settles down I'll take some underwater video.

Apbarr nice one mate. You shouldnt have a problem pal. With five bar jets. Straight to drain. My draco is only 2.3 bar. On the jets. Half yours. No problems at all . And i was over feeding. And my water is gin clear. Exactly in summer as in winter. Chuffed for you. That it is all running spot on now. Fred
