Aerated bottom drain or weighted diffuser
What if any is the difference between using a fixed air dome on bottom drain or a good weighted diffuser in pond I have an aerated bottom drain but my mate as a Richdon koi weighted diffuser he uses this because if he ever has an issue with membrane on air diffuser he can clean or replace without the hassle of getting someone to dive in pond my diffuser on my drain as been no problem but think it could do with replacing getting big bubbles every now again if you know what I mean and thinking of just getting one like his that’s not fixed in place

I now have two 200mm dia air discs at each end of the pond, connected with weighted air tubing which lies around the very bottom edges of the pond. I can also move them around if need be, for best results.
Now I know some are going to say Oh! they look unsightly and collect debris etc. Well you can't see mine unless you look hard, as the tubing lays exactly where its placed, in my case around the very bottom edges. I haven't noticed my tubing harbouring any amount of mulm etc and if it did all you have to do is move it out a bit with a net handle and it will very quickly disperse....still better than getting in a cold pond with a wet suit and a divers helmet Lol
So that is my feeling about it, but to make it work weighted air line is essential (EA make it).
Do they do the weighted air line in three quarter inch I could only find it in 3/8 th or even 1/2 inch
