Very nice indeed. I like the glass/Perspex surround, thinking of doing something like that myself in due course

Thought I was the only one where this section of the forum refuses to load in post date order. I completely missed this thread.
Read through your original build.
Love the way you were concerned the original pond was "overpowering" in your garden...... and have now doubled the size of it
Mine is also in full sun and its interesting how one of the posters on your original build mentioned full sun as a possible cause of Hikui. One of mine now seems to be suffering from this.
Also like the way you've taken full advantage of the sloping garden with seating at the top.
Pond looks fantastic, without doubt the best sleeper pond I've seen.

Yes I know what you mean about the overpowering bit haha. It actually changed quite a bit after that post which I never updated, the plant box didn’t last long, it came off and got replaced with a shower and a pergola, then jump screens rather than a net, then 6 months later it was all taken back down again and the rebuild started.
I wouldn’t mind a pergola over this one but I don’t think it’ll ever happen, I think it would be far too overpowering in the garden this time, I’ve got a shade sail so can always put that up if it’s needed.
The seating area was originally going to be a filter pit, it has a concrete floor and sump in place then I changed my mind, filled it back in and bought a shed for the filters, which is probably a good thing as I’m in the shed tinkering near enough every day.

Lovely looking pond mate, how many gallons or did I miss that bit?
The jump screen, did you get the metal frame and holders from the same place as the Perspex?

All I can say Mate awesome.
Watched the video. Great video.
And some great looking fish.
And I agree. The best sleeper pond I have seen.
And I love that window.

You didn’t miss it mate, it never got asked - it’s just over 3700 gallons, 17002 litres according to the water meter I used when filling
the frames I got from a company called the aluminium warehouse, it’s just anodised aluminium coated black, the glass clamps are stainless steel off eBay, think I got a pack of 20 for about £25
