I assume your south of the river?
That would be considered a large garden north of the river!

Looks good enough to me bud mine is a railway sleeper build. 2ft in ground and 2 ft above. I hit the water table here at 3ft during the autumn when i built so had to make do at 2.

Best i could do with what space i have (location near tower bridge)
Well half and half mate, my old pond was built out of old proper sleepers and when i moved house and the pond (beauty of using sleepers is they can go with you ) i extended it and used new sleepers only i bought old school measurement ones so they would marry up (most new sleepers now are 200x100mm ay and old are 250 x 150mm ) so i bought 250x150 new sleepers. Its a long story but the timber yard local to me will rip sleepers in half on request so it gives you a 5x5 post as such. I had them ripped in half so it was easier to transport and also a hell of alot easier to fix together
The bottom run and ends of mine are all old sleepers bar in the 4” top part to make it 2ft 2x 10” and 4” gives 24” = 2 ft ay. Its 16 odd long and 6.5 ft wide. The only thing i massively regret is not renewing ends and going a full sleeper wide. The 6.5 where already there from old pond as my last garden was minute lol so i went back with them. I have an upgrade planned in the future but alls well at the minuite so im waiting it out. It will be another sleeper build though sorry for going on mate ha ha

Yeah i see what you mean now there not proper sleepers ay.
Ive seen ponds that are built out of 4x2 framing and ply that people said would never work but have held up fine mate
yours looks solid enough

Running heater at low temp?
Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
