It certainly is a beautiful pond. How about some of your filters and koi?
I’d love to be able to look into a view like that, really is a credit to you.

Thanks , it’s not easy doing a traditional Japanese garden in the tropics we don’t have pine trees or maples and can’t grow moss

Great garden John!
And for sure you are / will be solving quite opposite issues than us here - we are trying to heat our ponds through the deep freeze of last couple weeks - while you may need to cool it down in summer
You may not have pine trees there - but you have beautiful bamboos instead - is it Phylostachys Nigra on the 3rd picture?
Really impressive garden - enjoy it!

Yes it took many years to find the black bamboo and I only got one cane , so all that clump has grown in 2 yrs , and I have taken cuttings so now got clumps dotted around the garden

To john 1 , the bridge is concrete and I textured it with floor screeding and the supports are concrete pipes and I filled the ends with cement to make them look like log rounds

Youve been in the pool today your really pissing me off now I would love to live in a place like that could you find me a nice Tai girl John?
The bridge is concrete maybe i could make it out of sleepers or do a concrete frame and texture it like you have done have to think on that one.
Have you sorted the flow in your filters John?John

Easy to get you a Thai girl , not easy to sort out my filter , nothing works except using the Venturi . I tried using a valve but by the time Iv slowed the flow down enough to stop the bays draining i might as well use the Venturi . The only other option is to fit another pipe going into the filter which I will as soon as I get somebody to do it . If I tell the girls Iv got a spare English guy staying there,ll be a queue lol

Like it John.
I use a venturi in the summer and find them very good for extra oxygen and moving the water.
What is our time difference?John

Running Bakki shower type filter will help you to cool things down w/o extra electricity on ASHP unit in reversed = cooling mode - as long as the Bakki shower will be shielded from direct sun - the evaporation will increase, but this will help cool things down further - as 28 deg. is at the high end for Koi - they must be eating all day long whatever you throw into your pond!
You get what you pay for - or better - what you make yourself.
