Hi Big Fud,
The two glass panels were approx 1100mm x 450mm x 20mm thick, I cut a rebate of 2" x 2" in the blockwork which was rendered and then fibreglassed. The glass is held in with Gold Label sealent, for the two windows I used approx 10 tubes (not cheap).
You can just make out the rebate in the photo below.
When I get 5 Mins I will post the complete build with photos
Cheers
Peter

Nice looking pond there Gaz
What do you use as shading on the pergola? Just asking as I think I need to shade to keep the dreaded blanket weed at bay.

Hi Miles,
I have to confess that although i did help this was built for me by a good friend who used to be in the business.I had said i wanted a pergola over the pond and wanted it to fit in with the pond and garden and so that i could enclose it at a later date.He then went away and called me with a few ideas and then come over and the rest is hostory......A pergola was born

After seeing all these ponds i feel a little embarrassed with mine, oh well here it is. The little green genie filter was the last of 4 which where on this pond when i moved in. I bought a bigger and better filter but was still using the genies while good bacteria grew in the new filter. Got to do it all again now just picked an eazy pod up today.

Nothing to be embarrassed about, it's about what suits you and your garden. Yours looks just fine, I think we all want 'better' at some point, but then we have to work within our means! If you know what I mean.
Here's mine:1630 Gallon raised pond
4" 'Avenue' bottom drain
Estro sieve
Econobead EB60 bead filter
Sequence 18000 pump, 6000 pump on skimmer line
Elecro 2kW in-line heater
Evolution Aqua 70 air pump
Standard wall skimmer
Hozelock Vorton 55watt UV
and some nice koi
