Still need to sort out the FTC on the bottom of the barrel filter and finish off connecting the wastes to the water butts etc.

Do I need to put a slide valve on the inlet of the Eazy Pod or will the one on the BD pipework do the job?

Got to order up some more bits now once I've had a think about how to do the various remaining bits and pieces.
Frim, whats that electrical item in first picture?

If you mean the white rectangular plastic box, it's a saniflo type system that someone on here recommended as a waste water removal system. I think it's a macerator?

Great idea by the way, somin I didn't think of to clear my waste water from filters in filter room, as I'm gonna struggle to get rid of my waste water, as my drain is a good bit away from where filter room is going, perhaps a bigger model would be able to clear waste from a drum etc?

Just thought it looked like a good idea and with my waste water having to be pumped a reasonable distance and then up about 4ft I'd give it a go.

How much waste water would you say accumulates each day from main pond, Im wondering if a Saniflow would cope, expensive items to have to replace regularly, I used to work in Steelworks on plumbing/heating maintenance and they used to go through these regularly a right pain and horrible job when they're full off nasties otherwise known as poo

Nice one frim. Your getting there.
    Good about the rubber boots.
If you do have to redo a pipe line.
Makes it a lot easier. Less waste less cost

On my main pond, currently I only have to clean it once a week and that uses about 350 litres. I don't know about the QT yet but would say the same volume for the Eazy Pod and somewhere between 100 to 200 litres for barrel filter although the QT will probably only need to be cleaned once a month? I'm not sure yet if the saniflo system is going to pump straight out to the water butts or into the same tub the waste water from the main pond goes into?

Yes I know Fred just hope I have done ever jubilee clip up tight enough I have tried to leave the screws for the clips accessible as much as possible just in case. It felt like I had OCD as every time I fitted a rubber boot I took off the jubilee clips and made sure they were facing the same way or were going to be possible to get at to check. At the moment the only ones I either will struggle to get to are the reducer on the BD and any thing that is under the slab the barrel filter is sitting on.

Do I need to fit a slide valve on the inlet of the Eazy Pod?

I have a ball valve on mine. For control of air boiling. If left ioen it will fill further then normal.
I have ine in inlet. And one on outlet inbetween bio tub. So when cleaning the dirt dont go into bio butt. Also one on wasteline

I have a ball valve on the BD and another ball valve on the waste outlets on both filters. Then I have a slide valve between the two filters and one each side of the pump. I also have a ball valve on the waste pipe via a T between the ball valve on the BD and the Eazy Pod. This one is for draining the system 100% at any time. So I need to put a slide valve on the inlet for the Eazy Pod now. Is that correct?

You can never have too many valves! As long as you can isolate the vat from the filter to run a cleaning cycle you are good, time to get the hose out Quarantine build and set upQuarantine build and set upQuarantine build and set up

If only it was time to get the hose out. Currently I have to sort out the waste fitting on bottom of the barrel filter as there is just a hole there at the moment after the SNAFU earlier in the week.

You gotta be close now tho? I'd rather be sorting out wastes than moving 20 tonne of dirt and clay in a wheelbarrow from the back garden to the front

Yes I think it is just the various wastes to do now. Was thinking that the one for the BD just needs a length of flexi hose and some way to attach it to the pipe work, thinking hose tail and rubber boot? Waste from saniflo to water butts is a bit more involved, not sure if I should pipe it or flexi hose it. But the barrel waste although it is just a few bits and pieces it is possible the hardest bit to do as it's difficult to at and the replacement FTC has to be fitted to the bottom of the barrel filter which isn't very flat and also requires some sort of grill to stop the K1 disappearing down it on each filter clean.

Oh yeah then there is the insulation and the electrics to do as well.

Your bottom drain is the inlet to easy pod. So that already has one mate.
