Apparently there has been a few in the area recently so people need to be careful.
Think we need similar laws to America as in we should be able to shoot scum like them if you catch them on your property. Our laws seem to be in favour of the criminals and the sentences they get if they ever catch them are far too lenient.

glad to see you made it out of the tank frim, sorry to hear about your mums burglary,my shed got done over years ago and at that time i kept every tool in its box, they nicked the lot and also my karscher jetwash, they came over back fence and dropped some of it when escaping,i got a mate of mine whos a bit well known as i put it to ask if anyone had got a specific tool for sale as i had modified it,low and behold he founds a guy selling one,me and a few lads went to pick it all up after he had been round and seen a few other things that belonged to me,i got everything except the jetwash,he was well paid in kind,i always got told an englishmans home is his castle and you have the right to protect it,legally they have to break in and be off your property before you can use reasonable force, good old british law, hope they get them,im looking at cctv just for this exact reason, andi

Unfortunately there are far too many liberal lefty do gooders these days that have stopped any chance of that sort of thing happening. Maybe if it happened to them a bit more they would realise the way most normal people think is the best way now.
I think if you catch them in your house and they make a run for it, you are allowed to chase them, trip them up and then attack them but you aren't allowed to attack them from behind. Not sure if this is still the case but I know it was a few years ago.

Not good mate, we are burgled twice when we lived in Reading. The second time we were one of about half a dozen houses to be broken into in the same day, they literally broke the kitchen window (double glazed) then smashed down fence panels to get to next door and do the same.

So much for all these multi point locks at the end of the day as all they do now is put a screwdriver in the edge of the glass and give it a wack. The safety glass just breaks into millions of pieces and falls out. Apparently laminated glass is better but can't be retro fitted into every door or window as it is that bit thicker.

Forgot to say that the ST and the 4" flexi boot end cap have both turned up so if I get time next week I'll fit the end cap and chuck some water in the QT just to make sure that the BD isn't going to leak. Would it be better to fill the bottom of the QT with an inch or two of water just to make sure the BD is fully submerged or is it worth putting a bit more in. Only thing is that as the end cap is going to be holding back the water I don't want to be putting too much water into the QT just in case it gets pushed off and then floods the garage!!!

Dont worry mate it wont push the cap off.
Your mums burglary is playing on my mind Frim,is she ok?
I used to keep a pick ax handle by my bed till the mrs called it a day and told me to get rid,but unknown to her it is in the cloakroom by the front door and i would use it if needed.
I know it is wrong in the eyes of the law but it isnt in my law and i would take the consequences as anyone who enters my house not invited would see the wrong end of it.John
