[QUOTE=anne;279484]Oi, we'll have less of that nonsense Anne, lol I'll have you know I've eaten Phalls before and even had them made hotter than they usually make them too. A Phall is nearly twice as hot as a vindaloo is and that is before they spice it up even more.

Had the Vindaloo and six pints of bitter chasers to cool down.
Sorry Frim never heard of Phalls or whatever it is but would try it given the chance, allways up for it!!!!!
And yes Anne, still wearing the flipflops though Mrs J has tried to throw them in the bin but i got them out again, funny how you get attached to things.John

Thing is with a hot curry like a vindaloo or a phall (sometimes called a pall) you have to just wade your way through them and eat as much as you can as when you stop it's game over LOL as the next mouthful when you go back to it will be hotter than the last one you had LOL Never make the mistake of having a drink part way through as that will have devastating similar effects LOL save the lagers for either before or after or both but not during if you you think you are going to be struggling with it LOL
I know someone that tried a phall for the first time as they thought they could eat hot food and didn't get more than a few spoonfuls into it and then was going for the water, took a mouthful of water then a few seconds later another and another etc. but never went back to the phall after the first attempt LOL
You've got to be careful as some things absorb the spices more than others so don't always taste as hot as they really are like chicken phalls and vindaloos to me always tasted hotter than lamb phalls or vindaloos and I had a spiced up kheema phall once that was only about Madras strength or so I thought as I was eating it I think the king prawn vindaloos and phalls taste the hottest as the prawns don't have a strong enough flavour to begin. Some restaurants know how to make phalls properly and don't just take a vindaloo and just add loads of extra chilli powder as that just makes it taste too gritty and if done properly the spices have all been added in the correct additional amounts for the heat of the meal so you can still taste the chicken, lamb or prawns.

Cinnamons is good and we have take aways from them most weekends but we went to the Mogol on the A30 in Bagshot on Saturday night as they have more space in the restaurant.

Picked up a couple of 10 watt 5000 K or 6000 K LED spot lights today ready for the QT.
Looks like I'll have to give someone a call tomorrow to see what's happening with the QT.

Still no news on the delivery date for the QT although the reply back from Elite was - they were still waiting to hear from EZ as to how they are getting on with building it but I was told it would be finished being built by the end of this week and now it's Saturday

I've still not heard anything from Elite or EZ yet. So I will have to chase them up again if I don't hear anything soon.

Running heater at low temp?
Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
