I was thinking about that but as it could be 6 months to a year before we move or not I thought it would be better to have something a bit more substantial but still movable. The fish that I want to get in there keeps knocking scales of in the same place so it's not actually ill.

I have to go up that way in September but it won't fit in a car. It is probably about an hour and a half to two hour drive from me. So I would need to hire a van for the weekend plus they may not want to wait that long to get rid of it. It's not a bad size though, thanks.

Yes I know what you mean John. I haven't had a chance to look at it on the laptop yet as I've been a bit busy today, unfortunately not with the clearing out of the shed and garage yet.

Just made an enquiry about UV or daylight replacement type lights or bulbs and as a result I have got a question.
As the QT is in the garage and will have no daylight on it algae and blanket weed shouldn't be an issue but if you use a light source that gives off similar UV to normal sunlight would you then start to get algae and blanket weed issues again and as a result have to fit a UVC to control it?

Most of us. Have bought day and night light. And do not get algie lol.
So in my eyes . Thats proven. As for any other type of light. I aint got a clue.
But some uv lights. In the open. Say above your tank if you looked at it.
They damage your eyes lol.

Ive had daylight led floods over old pond and one is now over qt,never had algae issues, its something in natural sunlight to do with photosynthesis that helps algae/bw and i dont think daylight leds do this, andi
