Pump room makeover
For the last few weeks I have been renovating my pump room. Last winter the condensation caused the walls to give a nice bloom of mildew.
Ideally I wanted to cover the walls/ceiling with perspex sheeting but unless I removed all the pipework, electrics etc it would be impossible to do.My other option was pvc cladding but this would have cost a small fortune.
Found B &Q sell a cheap pvc pack of cladding which with discount is £9.00 for 5 x 2.4 m strips. Managed to buy a number of smashed packs for £3.00 each. Though not the strongest and it will dent, it has improved the pump room no end and means I can clean the cladding easily.
Also tided up all the cables and water supply pipework and given the room a good spruce up. Installed a cupboard up as I am fed up with knocking bits off the shelves. Still a few odd things left to do and will get these finished shortly.
Even ordered an intercom (boo), on the look out for light unit and a couple of PH monitors. I have the Seneye's but would like to be able to see levels whenever I am in the pump room.

Thanks for your positive comments, I probably do not realise what a luxury it is to be able to clean the filters in the dry.

Very impressed!

You only have to let it in." (Jesse Stone)

Looks the nuts. I opened the first picture and I thought, OMG he's got his filters in his kitchen.

Do not think I would be alive to tell the the tale had I taken it from the kitchen,DHR!
I went to Wickes to buy a basic white cupboard, and saw the one in my photograph reduced half price as it had bits missing. Was only missing screws and hinges.
Now filters in the kitchen that is an idea..

The only problem with being on the Forum is that it gives me lots of ideas as to what I could do with our pond system. Your improvement seems very good and well planned Mark - well done!

Thanks again for all your kind comments, it feels so much better in their when I am cleaning the filters etc. Instead of having to look at the mouldy walls.
