It’s full! That didn’t take long! Needs a bit of a clean and another coat of paint but I’m really chuffed with it! Can’t wait to try it out with the fish in it next year. Once there’s loads of algae covering the inside the imperfections in the pain will be hidden nicely.

Yeah so I filled it up and happy days, lookout at the window the next day and the level had gone down. Looked underneath and it was friggin dripping like a tap arghhh. I have no idea how it is leaking but it is. Luckily I won’t need the tank for a long time so will have to think about sealing it again. On the positive side the fish are in the aquarium and it looks amazing! So pleased haha, will post up some pictures.

Tank looks great mate, love the minimalist look with the black background.
Some of that giant bamboo plastic plant would look stunning in there if you can find it. I'll dig out the brand name of the one I've got.
One little thing though, do you know that they grow better in shallower water, especially the web development. There's also a line of thought that deep water can lead to swim bladder problems, though I've no evidence of it myself as I never kept fancies in water over 15" deep.

Cheers Rs, was debating about putting some black sand in the bottom and having a few round river stones in the back? Just couldn’t decide what to do. And yes I do know they do better in shallow water, unfortunately I already had the marine tank so was I had to use that. My friend has them in a 2.5ft tank and his are all doing well, my old work has them in a 2.5ft tank also with no problems so I’m just going to have to take that chance. Hopefully they will be ok.
Cheers
