latest update pics
Good evening,
some pics of the pond and the new patio, couple more weeks and all works should be done, been a long time since Dec when all projects started, pond has come on a long way since photo 1 .... Barney is loving the fish he lays down all the time and watches them, the fish come to him now lol, the pond is just showing a green tinge to the sides and bottom, today in the sunlight I could see the beginning of velvet weed on the pond sides so hopefully things are beginning to move on, Evolution Aqua live bacteria going in every day still to help the filters, no UV at the moment, pond temp just scraping 19 degrees now, please excuse the grey pipe insulation on the corners, its acting as head protection for my grandkids as sharp corners, cheers Steve,

thanks everyone for your comments, were really pleased with it too, cannot believe how attached you get to your fish, these four little fellows are from a local WOWater, there was five but sadly lost our purachina who jumped, the yellow Matsuba (closest match we can find) also jumped but I managed to save him, were going to have to get some guards installed at the front as for some reason they think there in a high jump comp over the window!
Tom hi mate, we and others believe the yellow fish to be a strain of Matsuba, as he is growing his grey marks flanking his back are becoming darker and are slowly working down his body, the window is 1800mm x 1000mm, thanks Steve.

Looks stunning Steve.
I love the paving slabs, they look bloody expensive, and the rattan too, I've been looking for rattan furniture for ages trying to buy direct from a manufacturer to save money, and literally just sat on mine for the first time about 10 minutes ago.
When you first started building the pond in that gap I wasn't sure how it would pan out but you clearly had a vision for the finished look and its spot on, well done mate.

thanks guys - much appreciated.
RS - You and me both mate, it was touch and go if we were going to do it or not, i was all up for moving house to get a bigger garden for the pond but simply could not justify the additional mortgage and all the fee's so we went for it in the end and thank fully it all worked out well, M2Koi have to take the credit for the build, I just paid for it Rattan certainly is good value and finishes off the patio nicely, yes the porcelain tiles were crazy money but look nice thank god
Binary - Your right mate, been a few beers sunk already and rum here if you want it - cheers
Steve.
