I'm going to try and get a good photo of all four of my koi without netting them.
... Which is prooving a little tricky, but I've got one to start with. He was always the Biggest of all 4 but is growing exceptionally faster. At around 9" compared to the others at 4 and 5 inch. Beni Kikokuryu ('red' metallic) . Or Big Ben for short:

Hikari Moyo (metallic kohaku (red and white) is proving more illusive:

Along with Ki Matsuba (metallic yellow and grey with pincone pattern). Thats a lemon sarasa and a shubunkin photo bombing.

And metallic yellow (Yamabuki Ogon) just taken as he dipped behing the pond cover! The lemon sarasa. And big ben photo bombing.

Hikari Moyo... He /she is much more impressive in the flesh, the metallic flash seems to wash the the colours out to orange in the photos, but he really has bright red markings.

Ki Matsuba. Or Not? Not so much pine cone effect, but just scaled. My smallest at 4"

Yamabuki Ogon. Still a bit head shy after netting him the other day, to remove a beetle stuck in his mouth. Still too skittish for a good photo.

I decided to use the rest of the ancient gloopy resin I had on the sound proof air box project. It was so hard to stir and use I was scraping it out of the pot and I had to pull clumps of solid material out of it as it poured. Then it was going off in the pot so I went down to 1% hardener. So basically I'm not confident this is progress, but hopefully if I leave it long enough it will go hard. It won't be pretty, but its basically going under a bush so it's not too important.

I was using black resin to try and make it neatly and avoid using flow coat but the old resin didn't soak the glass very well and the corners were terrible. So it got sanded and will need some edges patching up. Not gonna be my prettiest work ever but will be presentable after flow coat. Although it is gonna live under a bush, so i may just patch it up and leave it.
If you've ever done any grp, you can tell how horrible this old stuff was to work with by the state of the pot!

Ebay K1 is in, (It came in a Kockney Koi box, so its probably KK1000). Its still very floaty so hopefully it will become neutrally bouyant after a while like the Kaldness K1. Also bought myself a dirty water pump as i had a clog the other day. The old one was 1400lph the new one is Jebao 2000lph so hopefully I had future proofed the DIY filters for some more flow. The uv box was only rated to 1400lph so fingers crossed on that one.

.... So the new jebao dirty water pump is fitted and the uv filter box is handling the 2000lph with no issues. However, the moving media tank was overflowing. I had the drill out and everything ready to fit another 2" return and then I checked the anearobic media tank. There was a pipe in here that directs the water from the first tank, to the floor of the 2nd tank, so it has to flow past all the media before returning to the pond. It was rammed full of KK1000 and restricting the flow. This is why tank 1 was overflowing.
I had glued a Grid in the return tank fitting to stop that happening but somehow a bit got broken.
