Looks fantastic Steve and finished at a great time ready to be enjoyed over summer.
How are the posts fixed to the walls?
There are a lot of questions about how to do this.John

Hi John,
thank you, were looking forward to it very much, it will provide my wife and I with a nice little project to be involved in, given half the chance she would be at the shop today buying lol makes me smile how keen she is - this is a good thing though, regarding the posts the guys drilled down into the pond walls and up inside the posts and used chemfix, it is incredibly stable, unsure if you can see from the pictures but the Pergola is not overly tall, this aids stability obviously being slightly lower, the posts are around 57" tall, to aid with water flow the guys lowered the back of the Pergola by around 2" so the water will run back to the drainpipe and along the edging seals so I do not have a cascade of water all round the roof when it rains hard, well that's the idea, we will have to see how it performs during the next downpour....thanks Steve.

GLASS - Update
Well another day of frustration as again the scheduled glass delivery did not take place, this weeks excuse is the glass had a scratch on it, I can live with one non show but two in as many weeks well I what can I say...., if we were not this far into the build we would go else where, we have been promised by the supervisor that the glass will arrive tomorrow, he will personally ensure it does so lets see, this not only causes frustration but also plays with everyone's schedules, the guys have driven miles to get to me and in addition have return again when they should be elsewhere starting other new projects and now my builders are here starting the patio so as you can imagine its a bit cosy around the side and rear of my house!
Anyhow onwards and upwards, the rendering was redone and looks much better, the trickle and chlorinator is already to go, lights are up, filtration is 99% set up and hopefully tomorrow pm we can finally put some water in..fingers crossed, new patio corner suite is ready to go, patio tiles on order, patio prep work side and rear is nearly done, concrete going in on Friday so all coming together nicely, hopefully some pics of the glass tomorrow! thanks Steve

INCREDIBLE - Just had a call from Harvey, glass not turning up today, Tuffx have a lot to answer for, been a shambles over the past two weeks this is the 3rd missed delivery slot and after being promised by the supervisor it would be here today 100% says everything, apparently now being collected by a courier and will be delivered tomorrow, today weather is good tomorrow it looks shocking, just what you want when trying to man handle a very heavy triple glazed piece of glass mud and water lovely.! another knock on effect for us all, unacceptable nonsense.

Cheers guys,
its the knock on effect it causes, three times now labour driven to my house to help lift in glass three times been cancelled but still need paying, poor Harvey keeps coming here to fit glass and it does not arrive so you can imagine his new customers are getting mucked about, twice i have rescheduled the concrete for the patio now it will be a third time, were desperately trying to get this completed so that we can have my father in laws surprise 81st Birthday party in our garden where he and the grandkids can sit and watch a few fish swimming around, he is not at all well and we hope to do this for him, we had at least 10 days flex built into the schedule but damn glass company taken them all and more.... so frustrating.

Lad had a service on his car a few months back and there's been a problem with a part they fitted, he took it to them today and wanted to charge him 20quid, yeah ok, managed to get away from work and went there, no 20 quid changed hands no f chance, got to stand up to these shysters.

It's wrong where money is but not enough people stand up that's why they do it because they can and get away with it . If I lay paving wrong that's on my head to go and repair out of my pocket not theres
