Well I purchased a drum from KLK on their advise it has two inlets one each for bottom drain and hijack one for skimmer, it’s been on 5weeks now and I lose so much water, my tap is on an hour every day filling up, water is getting clearer but I feel the inlets do not feed the drum quick enough as the pumps if on full remove the water from anoxic area before the drum can fill it, not sure how much water I can keep pushing in as my bills will be huge, how long does one expect it to take to clear enough for some sort of balance to take place, I would have though 5wks enough? Any thoughts appreciated muchly

My profile drum cycles about 48 times a day so only uses 48 litres every 24 hours. Very low usage re water.

I’ve just timed it and cycles about every 3 mins, I set the sensor as low as possible as KLK advised I’ve just had tap on again for a full hour. Seems to be discharging so often and not sure I can sustain amount of water it’s using?
With two aqualisa pumps running at 80% the drum can not keep up the flow, nor can the two 4” drains supply the drum quick enough? Should’ve I gone for 3no 4” inlets?

my drums cleaned loads when first installed but i got told to raise the sensors to get as much water into drum as possible,,theyre cleaning about every 20 mins now and water clearer, cant see point in having all that drum screen and only using a small amount to catch dirt,,,,,andi

Any other opinions on where the sensor should be set? KLK categorically said set as low as possible until water equals out in all areas?

The levels will only be equal when the screen is clean.
As screen blocks the level in the dirty side will drop whilst the level in the clean side will remain the same (assuming that you fed your pump from a header tank). If the level in the clean side drops you are losing water from your pond from either a leak, evaporation or water being used by drum, or a combination of al of them.
Generally you’d have a play around with the level sensor to give you a balance between number of flushes per hour depending on how dirty your water is (with solids).
If the water is filthy or full of algae, your drum may flush loads but as it clears it should flush less, maybe every 15 minutes?
If your drum is continually flushing whatever level the sensor is at then maybe is something amiss with the sensor? Have you cleaned it?
2 x 4” inlets should give you plenty of flow unless they’re seriously restricted.
