Thought of this placement? Filter return will be plain black pipe so thought I could angle it round to point at shower then hope shower would follow the curve of the pond. And somewhere want to fit over flow

No problem with placement BUT I would definitely think out making it gravity fed you will regret it at a later date

I do regret it. that is a old picture just for an idea of the shape and what am working with. Keep thinking about undermining and still fitting bd but that will have to wait for now . I have a filter running now but just want to add skimmer and shower line

Looks just like my pond. Except i have a top pond. Same shape. And brickwork. Looks nice.
I have a shute which is like a shower. I don t mean filter.
As in return to the pond.
Skimmer and 2 x returns underneath my skimmer. One going one way and one the other way.
I operate one at a time. But swap so as not to have a deadleg.
It works the system of cleaning.
I agree a bottom drain is a must.
In a pond. And with the air this cleans the bottom. Right now the shute aint turned on. Waiting to repair the fiber glass to shute.
The returns on mine are 2 feet of bottom 6 feet deep.
As said under skimmer.
Here is a photo.
Also i took into consideration wind blowing across my pond surface.

move shower to back left corner facing towards bottom left and have gravity return bottom left flat wall so it pushes round bend into skimmer in right top corner, but as said a bd would be a better idea,,,,andi

This is what mine looks like, its easier to see on a plan drawing, agree with everyone a Bottom Drain is a must and you will regret not doing it, I had a pond without a bottom drain and it was a pain in the ass

you could always fit a retro bd and plumb through back wall or under from outside of pond on back left wall, would only mean pulling liner away in that spot to fit a tank connector to liner, andi

All I can fit between pond fence is pipe work and UV. Want a shower is possible but not to close to seating for noise and splash . The more I look the more I realise how badly thought out this pond was ha

I had a retro bottom drain in my old pond, it made quite a difference, more so with cleaning than anything else, I was forever taking the pump out to clean it

Running heater at low temp?
Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
