Quick repair on fiber glass on shute ideas
Took my cover off today and cleaned and PP top pond. When filling back up noticed the gap from
Shute to fiber glass.
Would sealent work under neath it.
And if so. What sealent would be best for stainless steel to fiber glass
Ideas please.
I don t want it to run underneath and lift the glass in the top pond.
Photo added. If you blow photo up you can see it better

I agree with Roy - I used the same to seal up around my skimmer to the concrete blocks as a leak occurred on commissioning. Still holding good!
Sticks anything to anything given half a chance, had it all over my bloody hands for 3 days after!!!!

Would that stuff stick a skimmer to a liner ? As wanting to fit one this year know it should have been done at build time but knowledge is every thing

Not sure what you mean exactly, I would expect a skimmer to clamp the liner, the sealant will seal between the clamped surfaces, I've used it to stick my window in, around the bottom drains and seal a tank fitting to a drum in feed
I know what you mean about not having the knowledge before the pond build, I learnt as I went, or just after lol

Am going to take some brick work out to fit skimmer as it should be cut liner and fit it with clamp dose it need sealant better safe than sorry ? . The amount I would do differently in a pond build since coming on here is unreal. If a found the forum a couple months earlier I would still not have my pond built but a load better once complete

Always best to rough up the surface with some fine sandpaper on both surfaces and make sure it is clean and dry, not easy in a pond I know

Hope all goes well later this week then.
The algae is still here, not much though as the 320 is sucking it all away. Gonna salt it to 0.3% at the weekend and kill it all off, hopefully. Got some good advice on this earlier today. No plants (yet!) so going to give it a bash.
Phosphate level is still crazy high. Everything else is bang on. Annoying.
In other news, the Matsuba I accidentally bought last year when I was meant to only buy a feeder has grown a fair bit the chap says. Looking forward to that Koi coming to my puddle some time soon. Maybe next month if the temps go up. I’m in no rush though.

Good to hear your winning on the algi front. I treat my pond twice a year now. Half dose then 6 months later another half dose.
Phosphate wise aint had a problem with that.
It will be good to see your koi in the pond mate.
Bet you can t wait. Not long to go now.
I put another 25lts of helx13 in the nexus yesterday.
I did nt bother pp the stuff . Just poured it in. As the other 300lts is mature.
Might get one more bag of 25 lts
And that should be that. Full.
Good to here all your parameters
Are good. Inroduce the fish slowly
And you should be on a winner.
Bloody windy here this morning

I put some more media in my 320 the other week - still looks like it's a bit empty!! I'll go for another 25 litres next month.
Can't wait for the Koi to arrive. Not long...

Did my top pond this morning as in
Sealent on the shute.
Blowing a gale.
Pumped top pond dry.
Then sanded the area
Put sealent on. About 1/4 inch thick
On the top . Also put it underneath to sick the fiber glass down.
I will put water in now. To about 3/4 up.
And leave it untill tomorrow to dry.
My hands are covered haha
Get in there.
