So after day 2 here we are. Wood is roughly where the pond will be. Also if you look in the back doors you can see the big dog. LolFD34A5E9-647D-4876-B4AA-B1FFBBAA233F.jpg8C0BB67F-B069-47B7-8FB3-A10FE06F6B2D.jpg

Knew if I hung around long enough there’d be some dog action!
Great to see a digger poised and ready to go, good luck - exciting times!

So had a couple of machinery issues but back up and running today. Pond will be getting cracked on with tomorrow.

Thats the width of the pond so about 3m. Think it’ll be about 7/8m long. All good so far.

Nice work Wayne. I'm assuming you are going to put the fences back up again after the pond is finished or you'll have every little scrote walking past chucking rocks or rubbish in it. When we had a pond in our front garden which was visible but behind a hedge if that makes sense all sorts of stuff used to get chucked in there!!!

There’s a 2m high wall/fence being built before all the filters and everything else is in place. It’ll all be blocked from. New from the path. Don’t you ant some toe rag nicking things either.

Someone came snooping yesterday during the day asking about the old metal fence but I’ve given it to the guy who’s doing it as he reckons it weighs about a ton and a half. House is surrounded by CCTV anyway.

It's not the ones you see coming round that you need to worry about too much it's the ones you don't see.
CCTV is good but not 100% all the time,
Anyway that's enough of the being safe when it comes to potential unwanted visitors. As they say what key opens your front door, back door, garage door and car door? A Pikey.
Good luck with the build and keep the photos coming. You've already made more progress on your pond in a couple of days than I have on my QT in a few months LOL

Looking very good Wayne wont take long with that bad boy of a digger.
Going to be a nice size and 3mtrs across is enough as you have to think about catching them.Starting at a good time as well ready for springJohn

Also where is the pump filter house going.
Keep the photos rolling in.

That's the advantage of a pond that's square or rectangular, you have a easier job trapping them in the corners unlike my round pond. It's almost a two handed or two netted job at times
At least with a digger you don't have to struggle too much when the ground's frozen unlike using a spade and fork etc. It's like digging through solid rock at times
