My guess, and itís a guess, is that some of the K1 is getting caught by the air and pushed back through and up the pipe. I donít think there is a grate or similar between the centre core in the easy and the outer chamber.

Iíve had a few bits in there when Iíve cleaned my Nexus, turned everything back on and forgot to take the centre cleaning pipe out so emptied the outer chamber nearly!!! Oops.

Iíd guess (guess again!) that when the water level is higher youíll probably not see that issue anymore.

With the water level that low, all the K1 is bunched round the slots coming through. In Normal operation with water full in bio and air boiling it, plus flow of water from easy to Bio prevent the K1 from getting through, apart from the odd one now and again..not really much you can do unless you can get it up and running..honestly at this time of year with low temps, not sure whether you are able to keep the bacteria alive on K1 with so little water and changing the water over a couple times a week..but I might be wrong..cheers

as im pulling from skimmer with it scamp its getting bits of food and surface contaminants so still getting fed,i still have to clean once a week but then im still feeding 4 times a day unheated lol,,i think your right though,i drained it right down and can feel the gaps that go between bio and center to let the water flow into outer chamber from easy,,i was just mentioning it really as i wondered if the guys filling theirs with more K1 suffered with any coming back due to more being lower in the bio chamber, really need to get nexus and drums placement are swapped over as drums are on a shelf with room underneath and nexus is on an area of filter floor thats the same height as drum shelf,so by swapping it means nexus will sit lower and drums will be same height as now just in different places, also means that bd to drum pipework wont have as many bends which is a bonus, its just too flaming cold to be messing around with water lol,pic is how is now they just need swapping round, simples hahahaandi

Aah sorry Andy my mistake that skimmer is flowing through. No issue for me regards K1 coming through with 300litres and a 150 litre air pump, so hopefully you will be spot on when you get it all sorted, looks like you'll have your hands full when you move your filters around, I agree its too bloo@dy cold to get wet at the moment, it was -1 again last night here.. Cheers

Forgot to add. I also have six airstones on the bottom of the nexus 320. As to much crap and
K1 was settled on the bottom.
In the 320 nexus. I feel the air ring is set to high.
So added these of a 6 way manifold
And still boil out the ring. Plus six airstones

Mines just due to water level u think freddy. When i rebuilt this time i wasnt planning on keeping nexus, but then i didnt have a filter for skimmer so our lass said as we wont get money back i might aswel use nexus on there.i was planning on using the stainless ea nexus filter thing but couldnt figure how to implement it seeing as supposed to have an answer in middle.will wait until water weather warms up a bit.will only take a few hours but not at these temps lol.andi

Here's my water level with the draco
Bare in mind. My levels are set with draco waste tray. And not the nexus.
When you add the drum. The nexus water height settings go out the window mate.
    Heres a couple of photos.
1 photo above pipe over flow.
2 photo outer chamber water hieght
3 photo entry to the nexus

My waste tray is set to my skimmer
    Height. For water levels.
Also when drum wash the water level will be a tad higher

Me too Fred, 6 x half can airstones in mine via manifold..took my Nexus air ring out though. I've got hard water here, and the air ring blocked in no time, with the stones its good, and replace them when needed easily. Cheers

Touch wood my air ring is still working.
But there was to many dead spots of the ring alone. Bad design in my opinion
How the hell did you get into that tight long void to remove the outer ing on a 320.
The Centers easyer as larger gap.
A fat little so and so like me. Aint got a chance.
I would have to bring my 6 foot two son in. With his long arms to get at my 320 oiter air ring lol haha

i meant to put mines due to water levels "I" think but fat fingers caught the "u" instead lol,yep once they all get swapped over will be sorted,my drums are about the same size as a draco but only supposed to pull 10k through them,i looked at draco but then got bought 1 drum cheap and then 2nd one was even cheaper haha, only reason i got 2,just wanrt weather to warm up so i can get in and swap over and finish the part thats going to be indoor seating, already got 2 seater leather recliner and matching leather recliner chair to go in,,just walls to insulate and cover and some lino or laminate to sort for floor, andi

    Nexus pipework

The Jebao 20k arrived today. I have to say the build quality is looking good. Solid outer and very well built internals. 187w on the box for 20k/hr so Iím really interested to see:

    a) what it actually pushes re volume

    b) what it likes to eat re electric.

If it turns out as per spec itíll run at ~half the cost of my Sequence. Nexus pipework

The pump controller is a pretty deep unit. My 7,000 pumps have quite slim depth on the controller. Maybe 15mm. This one is coming near to 40mm!

Will report back with an update on performance.

Should I start a new thread for this? I feel the OPís thread has been hijacked a bit with my pump chatter?!?!
