nexus are good but keep the flow at 8000lph dont put too much through it or you will get crappy water,andi

id get rid of the speck at 250w p/h for 10000lph it will cost a fortune,pick a variable flow pump up,i run 2 jeboa dcs12000 and max is 100w,plus i can turn it down to 6000lph over winter when not feeding as much,andi

on my old pond had had a 9m run back to pond and up 2m to a small shower,handled it no problem but never ran it on full,mine have i think 6 levels as they are the old type,i ran at 4 or 5 and 3 in winter,andi

I would recomend going up to 4" if you can gives more flexibility - how about going for an easy pod. Failing that then T in and run it in to the nexus.

29 koi (40 to 65cm)
Bottom drain, Mid water & Skimmer to Drum
JBR boichamber->Blue eco 500 pump ->below surface return.
Blue Eco 240 -> Large MB -> Waterfall -> Planted Anoxic pond (25 baskets)

Lots of people use them on skimmer lines. If you need the cash though go for converting the skimmer to 4" and T in to the nexus.
Alternatively I used a second hand pressure filter on my skimmer for a while. You can pick those up very cheaply second hand on eBay but many on here really despise the things lol. They do create a lot of back pressure so will cost you in electricity and are difficult to get really clean.Last edited by pip895; 03-11-2018 at 07:39 AM.
