Leaking around bottom of window
Hi there
I have two windows in my pond and everything has been fine for a couple of years but now i have leaks from the bottom of one of the windows. It's a glass fibre pond and although I have drained the pond to just under the windows and tried resealing with large amount*of pond silicon and even fibreglassing around the bottom of the glass it is still leaking.
Any suggestion - can I cut and seal some epdm liner against the bottom of the glass and around the frame onto the glass fibre ? If So what adhesive should I used ?
Thanks

as above try and work out where its tracking from
did you let the level fall to the point the leak stopped or physically drain it to lower than the obvious pooling point?the slow pond build thread

I drained the pond to lower than the shelf and have done this 3 times now and ripped out old silicon which looked fine and then re silicone around using 7 bottles of silicon . I currently have it filled with about 8 inches up the window and it's already leaking. I also re sealed up the sides .
I was thinking of draining it down again below the window and shelf, taking out the silicon, cutting out the new fibreglass and then finding away to cut and stick some plastic liner around it ?

have you filled pond and left it to see at what level it stops, this would be the height of the leak, also looks like you have blathered the inside with silicone round the glass, this is why i cant understand it still leaking,on left of photo is that an inlet hole, could the water be coming from inside there and tracking to window area, have you a photo of where the damp is on outside of pond, you could cut strips of butyl liner and try sticking them onto glass and fiberglass with a good quality sealer like CT1,AQUAMATE or HA6,BUT in my opinion you are just covering the problem over,i would as said before take window out, clean all silicone off and then just apply a good bead onto fiberglass before sitting window back in,then another bead round edge from inside pond, andi
