sounds like your having as much luck with the leaks as i am,ive got 2 windows a 4ftx3ft just sat in a recess and a 2.5x2 in a proper frame that clamps the liner between it,and its the flaming one in the frame thats letting water past somewhere, looks like a stipdown and clean of frame and glass for me then reseal again, hope yours is an easier fix, andi mines leaking in bottom right corner too lol

We all not having much luck are we lol. I think the water down the bottom right is just where the water is collecting, that moist block seems to be the culprit...trouble is that it keeps raining so it’s impossible to find anything for definite

Similar issue I was having with the rain making it tricky. Luckily I haven’t finished off the cladding and stonework round the window so I was able to spot my dribble.
Any further leaking Scott?

I’m going to cancel the tiler and plasterer for just now there’s no point until this leak is fixed. Yea still dropped yesterday even with the rain think I’m down just over and inch from original fill point. Going to leave if for a few days and hopefully it stays dry so I can find the culprit. Any luck with yours mate?

Today’s the day...
So the water level is still dropping and I can’t really see anything obvious around the window. I checked a certain elbow that has been wet the last few nights but I put it down to rain/dew but tonight when I rubbed my finger under it it was still wet even though everything else is dry. Thing is... although water is obviously coming through there is no visible ‘drip’ it’s just wet,l and I find it hard to believe that that would be enough to drop the water level 15mm in 24 hours?? Any thoughts?

Shove some of that blue paper towel under it and see how much it soaks up, you’ll be able to see it better than with kitchen roll, you’ll be surprised at how much water can escape from what might be seemingly a small leak.
It may be “rolling” along the pipe rather than dripping like you think it would.
If you want a second opinion I’m over in Finch on Sunday so could swing past.
My sealant is here so will attack mine tomorrow

Today’s the day...
That’s true but running my finger along the pipe the is no wetness . Yea your welcome round mate, I will be in most of the day with the kids anyway. Think I will drain down below the elbow and see if the water drop stops. I’m pretty sure the window is sound and it was just dew / run off water I was seeing before

If it is the elbow is there any way of fixing it or will I have to cut it out and do a new one?

Before you cut it out you could try drying it off and running a bead of silicone round it or maybe solvent?
Probably worth a try before doing anything drastic

At least you’ll get an idea if the leak is above or below where you’ve drained to.

What’s the best way to dechlorinate on an auto top up system that isn’t trickle in/out?

Put it through a dechlorinator slowly.or have a feed tank fed by a dechlorinato with an airstone in it to gas off chlorine.andi

dunno about anyone else but i bought an EA detox (1 month old now) for my 500G vat in the garage that tops up at a rate of a mere drip a second and the water that i test from there still goes pink straight away with a dpd4 test so prob not one of them
