my 2 small drums both return straight over shower but with the option to go underwater if i need to for any reason, does your bio chamber only have 1 4" inlet and 1 x 1 1/2 exit, also your pipework from drum to pump looks like it goes back to your skimmer or am i confused lol, andi

It does return through the skimmer but that will be changed in spring lol, bio has 1 x 4Ē inlet and 1 x 2Ē outlet

if it was me i would use the 4" outlet thats going to skimmer and put another inlet into chamber, then put another outlet on chamber to go to shower but split this to also return underwater if needed,a couple of tank connectors would work for this, you can see my valve set up back right of pic lol.andi

JBR one, as you say I could add a 4Ē tank connector and find some mesh to hold back the K1 and then tee off to split between shower and mid level return. Would mean that I can increase flow through bio as well . How can I secure the mesh for the bio? Sealant?

What do people do with their showers during winter? Surely the heat loss is ridiculous?

If you put a shower on that wall it might prevent any surface debris going into your skimmer. Is that one the only skimmer?

Itís is the only skimmer and itís the only place the shower can go. The skimmer is going to be run off a pump on a timer so I can have the shower turn off for 10mins while the shower is on?

i leave my shower on as not heated,a lot just cover the shower so its not sucking cold air in,some turn shower off and go underwater but i cant see point as your bio will have to be started again in spring,as for the mesh how about one of these or 2 one 4" inlet one 2" outlet, andi https://kitsukoi.co.uk/collections/p...12960401358931

It looks like a tea strainer to me, but maybe that's because so many of my customers buy from IKEA, John Lewis and that big well known shop in Knightsbridge lol

Well I hope he believes in Cod.

As he likes drums so much maybe he is the reincarnation of a relative of the lead singer of Marillion?

If he's been a good boy maybe he'll come back as a shark or a brain surgeon but if he's been a bad fish then he may come back as an electrician

Hopefully you don't find another 2 in the same place or you'll need to go out and buy some bread so you can feed the 5000

    It's a miracle!!!

I performed 3 miracles the other day, I made a lame man blind, walked under water and cured ham. Not quite got the hang of it all yet.
